Aftercare Advice

Please follow the below aftercare advice to give you the maximum benefit from your treatment:

  • To nourish your skin and hair further please leave the oil on used in treatment for as long as possible or for a minimum of a couple of hours.

  • To help eliminate toxins from your body drink plenty of water.

  • Avoid heavy meals, strenuous exercise, alcohol and smoking for the rest of the day.

  • Ensure you are having your 5 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables each day.

  • Relax and look after yourself between your treatments there are plenty of free online videos. I recommend ones that are for meditation, self-massage, deep breathing, yoga, Pilates, and progressive muscle relaxation.

After a treatment it is possible to have healing reactions called contra-actions. Contra-actions occur because the body is re-balancing and cleansing itself by removing toxins and expelling them from the body. They are uncommon but perfectly normal so you should not be concerned. Following my aftercare advice above will reduce the symptoms significantly. You may:

  • Feel tired or weepy.

  • Get a headache or feel dizzy or nauseous.

  • Feel that your original symptoms worsen.

  • Experience disruption to your sleeping pattern.

  • Experience tired and achy muscles or flu-like symptoms.

  • Notice an increase in the need to urinate or pass stools.

  • Have an increase in your thirst.

Please note that in the unlikely event that you do experience any severe pain or discomfort, please contact your GP immediately for advice
